Mary Jane Swanson

Mary Jane Swanson, 69, of Belvidere, IL, passed away Wednesday, December 31, 2025, at UW Swedish American Hospital in Rockford, IL. She was born July 5, 1956, in Tacoma, Washington. The daughter of James and Mary L. (Rushing) St. Martin. She graduated from Penncrest High School in Media, PA. and then went on to serve our country in the United States Army. Mary received her BA and MBA from Edgewood University in Madison, WI. She was an auditor and accountant for Blue Cross Blue Shield for many years. Mary married the love of her life, Stephen E. Swanson on January 15, 2005, in West Chicago, IL. She was an avid reader and enjoyed crocheting. She is loved and will be missed by her beloved husband, Stephen; daughter, Sarah (Johnny) Tsai; son, Ian (Anika) Swanson; grandchildren, Kiana Tsai, Ezekiel Swanson, Phoebe Swanson; sister, Alice Elizabeth “Liz” (Robert) Halliday.
