Myrtle Tackes

Myrtle L. Tackes, 93, of Belvidere, IL passed away on Monday, January 4, 2021 at her home. Daughter of the late Peter and Johanna (Munick) Zellner, she was born on Friday, June 3, 1927 in Blenker, WI. Myrtle married the love of her life, Quentin M. Tackes, on Saturday, August 6, 1949 in Rockford, IL. She was a member of St. James Church and was also a member of the Catholic Daughters. Myrtle is loved and will be deeply missed by her sons, Paul (Renee) Tackes, Peter (Paula) Tackes, David (Sandra) Tackes; daughters, Carolyn (Larry) Bindenagel, Christine (Michael) Trepanitis; grandchildren, Katie (Matt) Foster, Megan (Jordan) Peterson, Carl Tackes, Ross Tackes, Sean (Lori) Bindenagel, Joel (Esmerelda) Bindenagel, Collin Trepanitis, Drew Trepanitis; great grandchildren, Bennett, Clara, Everly, Melody, Amelia, Oliver, Louis; sister, Rhetta Zellner. She was preceded in death by her parents, Peter and Johanna; beloved husband, Quentin; son, Peter John Tackes; siblings, Joseph, Carl, Leonard, Peter, Kenneth, Robert, Bernard, Marian. There will be a private graveside service at St. James Cemetery in Belvidere, IL. A memorial fund has been established in the family’s name.
