Norman R. Sadewater, 98, of Belvidere, IL, passed away Saturday, May 30, 2020 at Northwoods Care Centre in Belvidere. He was born December 30, 1921 in Rockford, IL to the late Herman and Lillie (Ulin) Sadewater. Norman enlisted in the U.S. Army and served our country during WWII. He graduated from the University of Illinois. He married the love of his life, June L. Sauer in 1951. Norman was a Certified Public Accountant for many years. He was a member of the Illinois Society of CPA’s and the Belvidere V.F.W. post 1461. He enjoyed tennis, golf and spending time with his family. Norm had been a member of Zion Lutheran Church for over 50 years. He used his gift and skills as a certified public accountant for the good of the church and the Kingdom. In his time as a member, Norm had been treasurer of the church and worked on the finance committee. He also was an usher and an occasional substitute Sunday School teacher for his daughter’s Pam’s class. He was a joyful participant in the monthly Pioneer lunches. He is loved and will be missed by his daughter, Pam Sadewater of Loves Park, IL; grandson, Bret (Michelle) Sadewater of Belvidere; great grandchildren, Carmen and Teegan Sadewater. He was preceded in death by his parents, beloved wife of 55 years, June; son, Gary Sadewater; sister, Bernice Myer; half-sister, Ramona Kotche. There will be a visitation Saturday, June 6, 2020 from 9:30 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. at the Belvidere Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Belvidere, IL. Interment in Cedar Bluff Cemetery in Rockford, IL. Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic there will be a limit of 10 people allowed in the funeral home at one time. Also, there will only be 10 people allowed at the cemetery.
