Oscar Junior Johnson, 89, of Belvidere, IL passed away on Wednesday, February 22, 2023, at his home. He was born on June 13, 1933 to the late Oscar and Della (Baker) Johnson in Sycamore, IL. He married the love of his life, Lois Hindenburg on June 22, 1957 in Sycamore, IL. Oscar is loved and will be deeply missed by his beloved wife, Lois; son, Wes (Lynne) Johnson; daughter, Kathy (Mike) Great; grandchildren, Zach (Rose) Johnson, Alex (Courtney) Johnson, Kyle Great, Kelcie (Taylor) McGinnis; great grandchildren, Jade, Lily, Zeke, Jasper; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar, and Della; sisters, Mamie, Erma, Doris, Genevieve; brothers, Herold, Art, Sidney, George, Harvey. There will be a funeral service on Friday, March 3, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Belvidere, IL. A visitation will begin at 9:00 A.M. until the time of service. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the family in Oscar’s name.
