Paul Leonard Obituary

Paul N. Leonard ,84 of Belvidere passed away Thursday November 22,2012 at Wesley Willows in Rockford with his family at his side. He was born November
9,1928 in Dodgeville,Wi. the son of Edward S. and Mary Amelia(Girardin)Leonard.
He attended local schools and then graduated from Loras Academy in Dubuque,Ia.
in 1946. He attended Loras college for 2 ½ years. He served as a Cpl. in the U.S. Army from 1951 to 1953 and was an ammunition specialist stationed at Aberdeen
Proving Grounds in Maryland. He married Lillian Baehler November 6,1950 in Hollandale,Wi. they resided in Monroe,Wi. where Paul worked as a mechanic for Badger Motors and later for Zwiefel Motors in New Glarus,he then moved to Belvidere where he worked at the Chrysler Assembly plant until retiring,Lillian
preceded him in death on October 27,1965. He married Ellen A. White November
26,1966 in Belvidere,she preceded him in death on June 1,2009. A member of St. James Catholic Church,Belvidere. A member of U.A.W. Local 1268 and a former
Belvidere Moose Lodge member. Paul loved to play his accordion and loved the Polka. He enjoyed visiting with everyone he met. He is survived by his sons,Greg
(Debbie)Leonard,Dennis Leonard,Robert(Susan)Leonard all of Belvidere and
Steven(Mary)Leonard,Cherry Valley. Daughters,Beverly(Ronald)Dawley,Belvidere,
Barbara(Mark)Wakely,Poplar Grove,Pat(Paul Garrett)Brenz,Stillman Valley. Numerous Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren & 1 Great Great Granddaughter. Brother,John(Agnes)Leonard,Madison,Wi. Brother in law,John Ammon,Rochelle. Sister in law,Angeline Leonard,Highland,Wi. And numerous Nieces and Nephews. Preceded in death by his Parents,Wives and Brothers Frank and Joe and sister in law,Mary Jane Leonard. Mass of Christian Burial Monday
November 26,2012 at 11:00 a.m. in St. James Catholic Church with Rev. Brian A.
Geary,pastor officiating. Visitation Sunday at Belvidere Funeral Home from 2:00 pm to 6:00 p.m. Burial on Tuesday at 11:30 a.m. in St. Patrick's Catholic Cemetery,
Hollandale,Wisconsin. In Lieu of flowers memorials to St. James Catholic Church.
