Pauline June Schnurr

Pauline June Schnurr, 83, of Belvidere, Illinois, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 21, 2025, at Alden Debes Rehabilitation & Health Care Center in Rockford, Illinois.

Pauline was born on January 28, 1942, in Monroe County, Wisconsin, the daughter of Vernon and Rachel (Moore) Paulson. On December 12, 1959, she married the love of her life, Ronald M. Schnurr, beginning a devoted partnership that spanned a lifetime.

Pauline found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She loved working on puzzle books, watching the birds, enjoying Wheel of Fortune, and dancing with her husband. Above all else, she cherished time spent with her grandchildren. She also held a special place in her heart for the many children she babysat over the years, loving and caring for them as if they were her own, and treasuring those bonds just as deeply as those with her grandchildren.

She is lovingly remembered by her son, Edward Schnurr; daughters, Rhonda (Terry) Stuckey, Dawn (Matt) Stanton, and Barb (Chuck) Porter; siblings, Darlene Kresen, Wanita Keller, and Mark Paulson; along with numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and the many children whose lives she touched through her care and kindness.

She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, and her beloved husband, Ronald.

A visitation will be held on Friday, January 2, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Belvidere Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Belvidere, Illinois. A second visitation will take place on Saturday, January 3, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Belvidere, Illinois. A funeral service will begin at 10:00 A.M. Interment will follow at Belvidere Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
