Ralph Dale Griert,75 of Belvidere passed away at his home Saturday October 13,2012 with his family at his side. He was born January 14,1937 in Williamsfield,Il. the son of Frank H. and Ethel B.(King)Griert. Graduated from Williamsfield High School. He married Bernice A. Monsen May 31,1980 in Belvidere. A Belvidere resident for 32 years,previously from Rockford,Toulon and Kewanee. Ralph worked for Rockford Mass Transit District for 40 years before retiring and was chief mechanic. He is survived by his wife,Bernice A. Griert. Sons,Lawrence D.(Cathy)Griert,Jeffery M.(Rita)Griert. Daughters,Susan M. Griert,Ginger L.(Allen)Griert. StepDaughter,Sheila A.(Richard)Akerman. Grandchildren,Johnathan,Jessica,Jacob,Sarah,Christina,Raeann and Kirsten. Great Grandchild,Dominic. Sister,Jean A.Powell. Preceded in death by Father Frank,Mother Ethel and half sister Bernece.Funeral Service Tuesday October 16,2012 at 1:00 p.m. in Belvidere Funeral Home with Rev.
