Richard Henry Jekosz

Richard “Rich” Henry Jekosz, 53, of Belvidere, IL passed away peacefully surrounded by his family Saturday, March 30, 2024, at his home. He was born on November 28, 1970 in Chicago, IL to Henry and Wladyslawa (Strojna) Jekosz. He married the love of his life, Diana Lynn Mingotti September 8, 1999 in Rolling Meadows, IL. Rich was a devout member of St. James Catholic Church in Belvidere. He enjoyed traveling with his wife Diana and loved Las Vegas. He is loved and will be missed by his beloved wife, Diana; brother, Karl Jekosz; sister, Martha (Joe) Mika; father-in-law, Bill Mingotti; sisters-in-law, Tracy (Jeff) Gentges, Sandy (Jim) Teuber; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Matthew Jekosz; mother-in-law, Patricia Mingotti. There will be a visitation Sunday, April 7, 2024 from 12:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. at the Belvidere Funeral Home in Belvidere, IL. There will be a second visitation Monday, April 8, 2024 from 10:00 A.M. to 10:45 A.M. also at the funeral home. A funeral mass will begin at 11:00 A.M. at St. James Catholic Church in Belvidere, IL.
