Richard Joseph Panick, 87, of Belvidere, IL, passed away on Wednesday, February 16, 2022, at Northwoods Care Centre in Belvidere, IL. He was born on March 22, 1934, in Chicago, IL. He married the love of his life, Sharon Fagan, on April 8, 1989, in Las Vegas. Richard is loved and will be deeply missed by his beloved wife, Sharon Panick; sons, Brian (Mary) Panick, Joseph (Jennifer) Fagan, Robert Fagan; daughters, Linda (Ted) Marth, Cindy (Paul) Sprowls, Joan (Mike) Gotfryd, Michelle (Marc) Magrini; grandchildren, Eric, TJ, Ashley, Elyse, Matthew, Madison, Bella, Brett, Jack, Ryan, Nate, Ky; brother, George (Karyn) Panick. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Anna Gorka; brother, Jerry Panick; sister, Rita Bobber. There will be a visitation on Sunday, February 20, 2022, from 2:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. at Belvidere Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Belvidere, IL. A memorial fund has been established in the family’s name.
