Robert Cletus Olson, 89, of Belvidere, IL passed away on Thursday, April 6, 2023, at his home. He was born on May 12, 1933, in Roscoe, IL to the late Victor and Noulia (LeDuc) Olson. He married the love of his life Elaine Sorg on September 29, 1962, in Rockford, IL. Robert is loved and will be deeply missed by his beloved wife, Elaine; son, Gregory (Jennifer) Olson; daughters, Lynnette (Bon Som) Olson, Lori (Jim) Labadie, Sonya (Mike) Leedle; grandchildren, Nathan, Sara, Caitlyn, Alexis, Kelsey, Milani; great grandchildren, Decklan, Holden, Rayen; brother, Vic Olson; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Victor and Noulia; siblings, Jean, Harold, LaVon, Madge, Roland, Richard, Jack, Raymond, Gerald. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, April 14, 2023, at St. James Catholic Church in Belvidere, IL beginning at 11:00 A.M. There will be a visitation prior to mass from 9:30 A.M. to 10:30 A.M. at Belvidere Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Belvidere, IL. Interment will be held at Calvary Cemetery in Winnebago, IL. Memorials can be made to the family in Robert’s name.
