Robert D. Readel

Robert D. Readel,80,of Belvidere passed away February 18,2013 at OSF
St. Anthony Medical Center. He was born April 18,1932 in Woodstock,Il. the son of
Dilbert and Anna(Sternberg)Readel. Graduated from High School in Woodstock.
He served in the U.S. Navy from 1951 to 1954. Married Linda L. Staab April 13,1957 in Woodstock. Robert was a bookkeeper for Dean's Milk Company before retiring in 1992. He has resided in Belvidere since 1999. Robert was a life member of
V.F.W. Post#5040,Woodstock. He enjoyed building model airplanes,woodworking
and baking. He is survived by his wife Linda L. Readel. Daughter Gayle(John)
Groneman,Belvidere;Son Mark(Jill)Readel,West Dundee,Il;Son Todd(Caron)
Readel,Oak Ridge,Tn. Grandchildren Christopher(Alicia)Hughes,Tiffany(Steve)
Davis,Max(Erin)Groneman,Tyler Groneman,Amber Readel,Logan Mark Readel,
Justin Barton,Aimee Readel,Alec Readel. Great-Grandchildren Micky,Sophia &
Brady Davis,Connor & Collin Hughes,Jake Groneman. He was preceded in death by his parents,Sister,Betty. Memorial service Saturday February 23,2013 at 12:00 p.m. in Belvidere Funeral Home with Rev. Eugene Wille officiating. Visitation at the funeral home Saturday From 10:00 a.m. until time of service. In lieu of flowers a memorial is being established in his memory.
