Ronald Hugh Lawson

Ronald Hugh Lawson, 66, of Belvidere, IL, passed away peacefully Wednesday, April 9, 2025, at his home surrounded by his family. He was born August 10, 1958, in Rockford, IL. The son of Louis Franklin and Margaret Jean (Stout) Lawson. He graduated from Jefferson High School. Ronald married the love of his life, Connie Leila Treadway August 20, 1977, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Belvidere. He worked for National Gray Iron Foundry in Belvidere. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Belvidere. Ronald was a very talented musician. He played lead guitar and was the lead singer in the Country Rhythm Band. He enjoyed drawing and writing songs. He is survived by his beloved wife of 47 years, Connie Lawson; children, Dawn (Steven) Robin, and Brad Lawson; grandchildren, Melody, Ethan, Cody, and Hailey; great grandson, Julian; brothers, Tommy (Brenda) Lawson, and Donny (Patsy) Lawson; brother-in-law, Eddie Haws; beloved Dachshund, Zoey. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Cathy Jean Haws. There will be a visitation Tuesday, April 22, 2025 from 9:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Belvidere, IL.
