Rosetta Shirley Cavalzani, 87, of Poplar Grove, IL, passed away on Monday, November 29, 2021. She was born on August 19, 1934, in Chicago, IL, to the late Joseph and Josephine (Viverito) Calandra. She married the love of her life, John E. Cavalzani, on January 9, 1954, in Chicago, IL. Shirley is loved and will be deeply missed by her beloved husband, John; son, John Cavalzani; daughters, Agnes (Virgilio) Viscuso, Josephine (Salvatore) Binanti, Gail (Domenico) Martinelli; grandchildren, Cosimo, John, Virgil, Theresa, Andy, John; great grandchildren, Anthony, Danny, Virgil, Vivian, Angelina, Christian, Bella, Jackson, Audrey; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Josephine; siblings, Ann Stream, Peter Calandra. There will be a visitation from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Friday, December 3, 2021 at Belvidere Funeral Home & Cremation Service. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:00 A.M. at St. James Catholic Church in Belvidere, IL. Interment will take place at Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery in Hillside, IL. A memorial fund has been established in the family’s name.
