Ruth Kirane

Ruth Kirane, 85, of Belvidere, IL passed away on March 26, 2023, at her home. She was born on April 15, 1937, in Green Bay, WI to the late Francis and Geraldine (Gagnon) Wendricks. She graduated high school in Green Bay, WI and then married the love of her life, Paul Kirane, on February 2, 1957, in Belvidere, IL. Ruth is loved and will be deeply missed by her son, Patrick (Lisa) Kirane; daughters, Rebecca Zurfluh, Debbie (Greg) Anderson, Karen (Scott) Smiley; grandchildren, Mitch (Trina) Anderson, Curt Anderson, Jessica (Carlos Popa) Anderson, Elaine (Josh) Moye, Jacob Smiley, Rachel (Josh) Cisco, Julia (Mike) Potthast; 8 great grandchildren; She was preceded in death by her parents, Francis and Geraldine; beloved husband, Paul; brother, Fred Wendricks; sisters, Ethel Dufek, Doris Rosin. Services will be private. The family would like to give a special thanks to OSF Hospice for their compassion and care. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to OSF Hospice in Ruth’s name.
