Sally Josephine Garrigan

Sally Josephine Garrigan, 81, of Belvidere, IL, passed away peacefully Tuesday, November 4, 2025, at Alden Debes Rehabilitation & Health Care Center in Rockford, IL. She was born April 19, 1944, in Belvidere, IL. The daughter of William J. and Josephine P. (Huddlestun) Garrigan. She graduated from Belvidere High School. Sally worked for Parsons Casket Hardware Company for 20 years and then for the Keen Age Center in Belvidere. She was a member of St. James Catholic Church in Belvidere. Sally was an animal lover and was fond of cats, birds, and especially horses. She won the Best of Show award for her horse at a local horse show. She was loved and will be missed by her brothers, William R. (Marcia) Garrigan, and George (Susan) Garrigan; brother-in-law, Robert Hyland; niece and caregiver, Cathy Maculan; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Sandra Ann (Gale) Levey, Patricia Whitemore, Sharon Hyland; nephew, Keith Whitemore. There will be a funeral Mass at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at St. James Catholic Church in Belvidere, IL. Inurnment in St. James Catholic Cemetery in Belvidere, IL.
