Thelma June Lee

Thelma June Lee, 83, of Belvidere, IL passed away, Monday, February 21, 2022, at OSF St. Anthony Medical Center in Rockford. She was born August 21, 1938 in Waterman, IL. The daughter of the late, Ray and Evelyn (Thompson) Votaw. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Belvidere. She loved spending time outside and tending to her flower bed. She was an avid NASCAR and Jimmie Johnson fan. Most of all she loved to spend time with her kids and grandkids. She is loved and will be missed by her sons, Terry Lee, Kevin (Penny) Lee, Tim (Kim) Lee; daughter, Vicky (Michael) Buhl; grandchildren, Ashley (Bryan Peacock) Lee, Adam Lee, Candace (Matt Niezgodzki) Harbers-Lee, Dustin Marx, Jessica McIntyre, Melissa Lee, Nicole (Michael) Daugherty, Kelli (Jesse) Mota, Chad (Amy) Lee, Corey (Danielle) Lee, Chelsey (Daniel) McSweeney, Makenzie Kosar, Greg (Erin) Buhl, Brandon (Brittany) Buhl, Tim (Jennifer) Buhl; several great-grandchildren, nieces ,and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Evelyn Votaw; siblings, Betty Rivett, Butch Oleson, Ray Lynn Votaw, Rosie Wilcox; son, Michael Lee. There will be a visitation on Monday, February 28, 2022 from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at the Belvidere Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Belvidere, IL. A memorial fund has been established in the family’s name.
