Thomas Lester Johnson

Thomas Lester Johnson, 59, of Rockford, IL passed away Saturday, September 26, 2020 at Park Place of Belvidere. He was born, March 2, 1961 in Fort Knox, KY. The son of the late Perry L. Sr. and Frances (Meador) Johnson. He married the love of his life, Linda Casey May 9th, 2015 at Zion Lutheran Church in Belvidere. Tom was an active member of Zion Lutheran Church where he volunteered for Kicks, Sunday School, and Vacation Bible School. He loved watching wrestling, going fishing, and taking his dogs Gipsy and Cleo on long walks. He is loved and will be missed by his beloved wife, Linda; brother, Pete Johnson; sister Ruth Ann Johnson; niece, Stephanie; nephews, Aaron, and Skylar; great nephew, Mason; brother-in-law Jim ( Rebecca) Casey; uncles, Tom Meador, and Emmet (Belinda) Meador;  cousins, Jeff Meador, Mike Meador, Mychael Casey, Theresa, Vicki Hurley and children, Kate, Lia, and Ali,  friends, Penny (Felix) Roe, Otha Bland, and Beth Whitt and family. He is preceded in death by his parents, Frances and Charles Weible; mother-in-law, Carol Casey. There will be a visitation Thursday, October 8, 2020 from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. at the Belvidere Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Belvidere, IL. There will be a Funeral Service Friday, October 9, 2020 at 10:00 A.M. also at the funeral home. Interment in Scandinavian Cemetery in Rockford, IL.
