Valente M. Chavera

Valente M. Chavera,88,of Garden Prairie passed away Sunday July 28,2013 at
Swedish American Hospital,Rockford. He was born April 1,1925 in Pearsall,Texas
the son of Juan and Elvira(Mendez)Chavera. Valente worked on Television manufacturing at Admiral in Harvard for 27 years before retiring. He enjoyed
working on cars,playing pool and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his ex-wife,Guadalupe Barro. Daughters,Lucia Chavera,Amy
Chavera. Grandchildren,Gregory Chavera,Anthony Macias,Marciela Macias.
Great Grandchildren,Eli Chavera,Reece Macias. Brothers,Juan ,Ray,Ralph and
Jessie Chavera. Sisters,Eloisa Castillo,Mary Rizo,Romona Chavera. ½ Sister,
Romana Chavera. Preceded in death by his parents,son,Roberto Chavera,brothers,
Delfino,Venito,Ferman and Lucio Chavera,sister,Adela Villereall,1/2brother,Jullian
Chavera,1/2 sisters,Sofia,Paula,Mary Ellen and Maria Chavera.

Funeral service Friday August 2,2013 at 11:00 a.m. in Belvidere Funeral Home. With Rev. Gregory Carlson officiating.
Visitation Thursday at the funeral home from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Interment Belvidere Cemetery.
