Virginia Klug Obituary

Virginia Delores Klug,94 of Belvidere,passed away at her home Monday April
22,2013. She was born December 18,1918 in Chicago. The daughter of Sigmund and
Helen(Sowka)Marshall. She graduated from High School in Chicago. Married Arthur John Klug November 18,1939 in Niles,Il.

Virginia was a child of the depression and a hard worker who loved to volunteer
for community services. During WWII she worked as a "Rosey the Riveter" for the
Defense Dept. She also worked as a receptionist for Aetna Life Insurance Co.,was
an operator for Bell Telephone Co.,a dental assistant,worked at St. Joseph Hospital
and Niles Township School System.

She was the recipient of the Presidential Citation for Community Service. She volunteered for Maple Crest Nursing Home,Meals on Wheels,the Moose Club,Sorosis Club,St. Joseph Hospital and read to children at Ida Public Library.
Virginia enjoyed bible study,baking,knitting,travel,dancing,card playing and could
ride a horse until 80 years of age.

She is survived by her son,Richard Dennis Klug(Who is proud of her accomplishments in life and her service to the community). Grandson,Jason D.(Shirl)Ross. She will be greatly missed by her family and the Belvidere community. Preceded in death by her parents and husband. Funeral service
Saturday April 27,2013 at 10:00 a.m. in First Presbyterian Church,Belvidere with
Rev. Dr. Robert R. Kopp,pastor officiating. Visitation Friday from 5:00 p.m. to
8:00 p.m. at Belvidere Funeral Home. Interment Maryhill Cemetery,Niles,Il.
