Virginia Maxine Strom

Virginia “Maxine” Strom, 96, of San Antonio, TX passed away on Sunday, August 25, 2019 at her daughter’s home. Maxine was daughter of the late Ben A. and Edna Mae (Feazel) Smith. She was born on Saturday, August 18, 1923 in Peoria, IL. Maxine married the love of her life, John A. Strom, on Sunday, June 12, 1949 in Joliet, IL. Maxine is loved and will be deeply missed by her children; Jeffrey A. (Cathy) Strom, John A. (Katherine) Strom II, Deborah (Daniel) Miksta, Suzanne (John)) Dillree; grandchildren, Allison Graham, Robert Ramsey, LeAnne Ramsey, Christopher (Wendi) Strom, Jeffrey (Amie) Miksta, Steven (Dawn) Miksta; great grandchildren, Caldwell, Katie and John Graham,, Christopher John “CJ” Strom, Rutton and Reece Ramsey, Tyler, Hailey and Sage Merciez, Ayla Miksta, and Remy Miksta. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ben and Edna; beloved husband, John; brother, Ben Smith Jr. There will be a graveside service on Tuesday, September 3, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Belvidere Cemetery in Belvidere, IL for those wishing to join the family.
