Wallace Elias Larsson

Wallace Elias Larsson, 97, of Belvidere, IL, passed away peacefully in his home on Saturday, June 7, 2025, surrounded by his children.  He was born on October 4, 1927, in Escanaba, Michigan. The son of Elias and Lillian (Turner) Larsson. He served our country with honor in the United States Navy during WWII and then served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. Wallace married the love of his life, Naomi Laura Weaver, on April 19, 1958, at a candlelight service after a Chicago Cubs double header. They were married for 66 years.  He was a lifelong Cubs fan and enjoyed playing golf until he was 91 yrs old.  Most of all he loved to spend time with his family. 

He has again joined his late wife Naomi L Larsson.  He is loved and will be missed terribly by his children, Zerelda (Ed) Konopasek, Adelle (Dan) Plodzeen, Mark Larsson, and Norman Larsson; grandchildren, John (Amanda) Perna, Ashley (Nick) Gambro, Edward (Julia) Konopasek, Courtney Konopasek, Brad (Lindsey) Plodzeen, Todd Plodzeen; great-grandchildren, Michael, Jack, Brooklyn, Brady, James, Olivia, Josie, Clare, Edward, and Eleanor Naomi; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, brother and sister. 

There will be a private memorial for the family.  Condolences may be shared with the family at www.belviderefh.com.  In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to the St.Croix Hospice Branch, McHenry American Legion Post 491,  dav.org Disabled American Veterans Charity, or any other local organization that truly supports veterans.
