Wanda Jean Berlin, 66, of Belvidere, IL passed away peacefully on July 19, 2026 surrounded by love and her family. Wanda was born on April 14, 1960, in Elgin, IL to Floyd and Nancy (Bott) McPherson. She lived a life centered on family, strength, and simple joys. Wanda was a fierce protector of those she loved and had a special gift for making people feel safe, welcomed, and cared for, whether through a warm conversation or a shared laugh. She enjoyed playing darts and crocheting, but more than anything, Wanda adored her grandchildren. They were the light of her life, and she poured her heart into every moment spent with them, creating memories that will be treasured forever. Wanda will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her sons, Shaun (Brianna) Berlin, and Scott (Kim) Berlin; her beloved grandchildren, Tiffanie Berlin, Aiden Berlin, and Tristan Berlin; her siblings, Peggy (Tim) Yarbro and Roger (Tracie) McPherson; and her faithful, beloved dog, Luna. She also leaves behind many extended family members and friends who were touched by her warmth and generosity. She was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Nancy McPherson. Wanda’s love, strength, and gentle spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
