Wayne Melvin LaCourse

Wayne Melvin LaCourse, 81, of Poplar Grove, IL, passed away peacefully Tuesday, February 4, 2025, surrounded by his family at Javan Bea Hospital in Rockford, IL. He was born on April 8, 1943, in Chicago, IL. The son of Edward and Sophie (Petrosius) LaCourse Sr. Wayne was liked by everyone. He loved his Harley Davidson motorcycle, taking bike trips to Sturgis, and hanging out with his CRS Motorcycle Group. He enjoyed working on cars and camping. Most of all he was a family man and loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. He is loved and will be missed by his children, Wayne (Trisha) LaCourse Jr., Michelle LaCourse, Denise LaCourse, Tracy (Mike) Marcus; grandchildren, Becca, Justin, Joshua, Dakota, Cassie, Hailey, Danny (Linsey), Michael (Alyssa), Leslie, Natasha (Logan), Jonathan; great-grandchildren, Madison, Lexi, Collin, Eli, Phoenix, Tyson, Charli; brother, Edward (Joan) LaCourse Jr.; sister, Eileen Ferguson; dogs, Lucy, Toby, and Daisy; cat, Harley. He was preceded in death by his parents. There will be a celebration of life Sunday, March 16, 2025 from 12:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. at Manteno Sportsman Club, 851 N Main Street Manteno, IL 60950.
