William George Herbert

William George Herbert, 89, of Poplar Grove, IL, passed away surrounded by his family Monday, September 23, 2024, at Javon Bea Hospital in Rockford, IL. He was born May 5, 1935, in Chicago, IL. He married the love of his life, Gloria Wisniewski September 18, 1954. He loved fishing and going to casinos. Most of all he loved his family. He is loved and will be missed by his sons, John Herbert, Kirk Herbert, Chester (Julie) Herbert; grandchildren, Heather Wietrecki, Adam (Gina) Wietrecki, Cori (Kaitlyn) Herbert, William Herbert, Sarah Herbert; daughter-in-law, Joyce Wietrecki. He was preceded in death by his parents, beloved wife, Gloria; son William Herbert. Inurnment Tuesday, October 1, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. in St. Luke's Cemetery, 5300 North Pulaski Road Chicago, IL 60630.
