Edward F Conley, 72, of Garden Prairie, IL passed away peacefully Sunday, July 28, 2019 at his home surrounded by his family. The son of the late George and Dorothy (Aubrecht) Conley. He was born in Harvard, IL on Milk Day June 6, 1947, the year his father then led the parade past the hospital. He graduated from Harvard High School and joined the Army Reserves where he served for 6 years. He married Pamela Ann (Johnson) Wilkinson, June 13, 1981 in Chemung, IL. Ed worked as a Harness Horse Driver for 20 years and later worked for Anderson Underground retiring from there as an active member of Union Local 1025. After retirement, Ed stayed busy driving truck and traveling across country with his wife and daughter joining him whenever possible. Ed loved training and racing harness horses. He later spent many hours raising and trail-riding his quarter horses. He also especially enjoyed fishing and being outdoors. He was most proud of his family. He loved playing with all his grandkids whenever possible. He also enjoyed spending time with his wife, family and close-knit friends. Ed was a member of First United Methodist Church in Belvidere. He is loved and will be missed by his beloved wife of 38 years, Pamela Ann Conley; children, Brenda (John) Dehart, Edward (Kim) Conley, Christopher Wilkinson, and Kari (Zebulun Shelton) Conley; grandchildren, Austin, Nicholas, Anikka, Alyssa, Zac, Dustin, Skylar, Tabatha, Dylan, Cheyenne, Brooklyn, Logan, Riley, Chahna, and Cheyenne; great-grandchildren, Trystan, Adelynn, and Laelah; brother, George (Karen) Conley; sisters, Ellen (Terry) Roe, and Susan (Scott) Hanson; mother-in-law, Delores Johnson, step-brother George (Roseanne) Domato; many nieces and nephews and in-laws. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, parents, daughter, Heather Mae Wilkinson, great granddaughter, Aria Villarreal, father-in-law Harold Johnson. There will be a visitation Saturday, August 3, 2019 from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. at the First United Methodist Church in Belvidere, IL. A memorial service will begin at 12:00 P.M.
