Jesse Hale Obituary

Jesse James Hale, 79, of Poplar Grove, IL, passed away on Saturday, January 18, 2020 at his home following a lengthy illness. He was born Tuesday, October 8, 1940 in Burkburnett, TX to the late William and Lydia (Brister) Hale. He married Mary Edgren on Saturday, October 15, 1983 in Rockford, IL. Jess retired from Chrysler in 1998 after 33 years, delivered the Belvidere Daily Republican for 25 years, was an avid bowler, a die-hard Cub fan, loved watching westerns, and listening to music. He was a loving husband, devoted father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend. Jess is loved and will be deeply missed by his sons, Jeffrey (Tsipiora Mowers) Hale, Jerry Steele, Timothy Edgren; daughters, Lonna Bentley, Karla (Theo) Huwae, Dietta “Dee” Edgren, Michele Aguilera; 17 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; brothers, Jim (Darlene) Hale, Joe (Jackie) Hale; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Lydia. The family would like to express a special thanks to the entire Hartland Hospice staff for their loving care, and special comfort to the family. A special thank you also goes out to his Rockford Builders Bowling Team for their support during his battle with cancer. There will be a Celebration of Life on Saturday, February 8, 2020 from 2:00 P.M. to 4 P.M. at Park Lanes Bowl in Loves Park, IL. A memorial fund has been established in the family’s name.
